A service disruption occurred on the PostgreSQL database hosted on newly deployed Linux servers. The root cause was traced to the systemd-logind.service configuration, where the RemoveIPC parameter was set to True by default. This setting inadvertently terminated the PostgreSQL postmaster process, leading to unexpected downtime.
